Comments and statements of the Ombudsman News

Dear citizens of the Republic, veterans, soldiers, sergeants, ensigns, officers and generals!

On behalf of the Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office in the Donetsk People’s Republic I have the honor to congratulate you on the Victory Day.

The day of memory, pride and sorrow!

May 9 is the most glorious date for all citizens of the Republic. We are overwhelmed with pride for our Motherland, we bow down before the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. This is the day when we feel united in gratitude to our grandfathers and great-grandfathers!

Time passes, those years become the past. But, the tragic, great and heroic events of the Great Patriotic War will never be forgotten. The memory of exploits of soviet people that showed its irresistible force and crushed fascist aggressors will remain forever in our hearts.

Dear veterans, you got through the war staying united, you have shown us true selflessness, unparalleled courage, bravery and fortitude. Thanks to you, a monstrous bloody war ended in our victory. As you did for us, we will do our best to prove that victory is not about weapons, but the strong spirit, unity and faith. We will make every effort to make our children and grandchildren proud of our Motherland.

Dear veterans and home front workers, I wish you good health, well-being and long years!

We bow our heads with deep respect to veterans and for memory of soldiers who lost their lives!

We remember! We feel proud!

Yours faithfully, Daria Morozova, The Hunan Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
