Greeting from Daria Morozova on World Consumer Rights Day

News

Dear residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic!

I congratulate you on the World Consumer Rights Day!

The history of the Day is connected with the speech of the US President John Kennedy in Congress in 1961. He was first to formulate four fundamental consumer rights: the right to security, the right to information, the right to choose and the right to be heard. Later, four more were added: the right to compensation for damage, the right to consumer education, the right to satisfy basic needs and the right to a healthy environment.

In the Donetsk People’s Republic, a celebration of the Consumer Rights Day was established by the Decree of the Head Alexander Zakharchenko of May 7, 2016, and it is marked annually on March 15.

Today, most residents of the Republic are successfully guided by the rules of consumer behaviour. Now they have much more desire and determination to defend their rights.

On this day, I want to congratulate all those who protect consumers’ rights through professional and social activities. Defending the rights of consumers, you contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of citizens of our young state. I sincerely wish you good health, professional and personal achievements, as well as true quality service!

Daria Morozova.
