Greeting from Daria Morozova on International Children’s Day

News

Dear young citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic, I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the International Children’s Day!

The Declaration of the Rights of the Child, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1959, enshrined the right of every child to opportunities that allow their physical, mental, moral, spiritual and social growth, in a healthy way and in the condition of freedom and dignity.

Despite the difficult situation of the military-political confrontation and socio-economic blockade on the part of Ukraine, the Donetsk People’s Republic is successfully making efforts to ensure and protect the rights of children. The necessary legislative framework is being developed, social benefits are being paid, educational institutions and centres for children’s activities are operating. Also, there are recreation opportunities for children, including in the territory of friendly states. As part of the integration program, young residents of the Republic participate in cultural, sports, scientific and other events in the Russian Federation.

I express my sincere gratitude to all people who contribute to the development and education of the younger generation through their work and social activities. Good health, happiness and peace to young residents of the Republic. May every child be surrounded with care and support, and always feel confident in their bright future!
