Dear compatriots, today we celebrate a special holiday for our region – the flag day of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The Donetsk tricolor has long become a symbol of freedom, unity and steadfastness of the residents of Donbass. It is their determination in the fight for justice and their rights. After all, it was the desire to protect their language, culture and memory of their ancestors that in 2014 forced ordinary residents of the cities and villages of the then Donetsk region to take to the streets and show those who illegally usurped power in Ukraine that we exist! And our opinion must be taken into account!
Today, next to this flag, the red-white-blue tricolor proudly flies, reminiscent of our long-awaited return to our homeland. I have no doubt that both flags will soon fly over the entire already completely liberated territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
