Greeting from Daria Morozova on fifth anniversary of DPR Constitution

News

Dear fellow citizens, I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the fifth anniversary of the Constitution of the Donetsk People’s Republic!

The constitution is the main legislative act that defines basic principles of political, economic and social systems of a state, enshrines human rights and freedoms. Five years ago, the Supreme Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic adopted the Constitution, which shaped the future development of the state and reinforced the choice of Donbass citizens made through the referendum on self-determination.  The adoption of this law became an important and a responsible step towards state-building and development of the Donetsk People’s Republic as a democratic law-based social state.

The rule of law, equality and justice, respect for human rights and freedoms are the basic principles that make the foundation of the Constitution of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Unconditional adherence to them, as well as the development of a regulatory framework in strict compliance with the requirements of the main legislative act, are necessary conditions for building a modern, prosperous and high-potential state. Now, we are confident that the Constitution of the Donetsk People’s Republic has proven to be consistent and has become a reliable foundation for state-building.

May further legislative activity be productive and aimed at meeting the needs of an individual, society and the state, which in turn will contribute to the further development and achieving high standards of living. I wish peace and prosperity to the people of our young Republic. Success and many victories to all who work hard for the benefit of the Motherland!
