Greeting from Daria Morozova on Donbas Liberation Day

News

Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War, fellow countrymen! I sincerely congratulate you on the 77th anniversary of the liberation of our region from the German fascist invaders!

Today is a sacred date for each of us, the time when you need to stop, get away from everyday worries and think about what is really valuable. Look into the eyes of your child, take the hand of a loved one, remember your successes and happy moments. All this is in our life only thanks to people who 77 years ago, not being afraid of the cruel deadly force, stood up to defend the Fatherland.

The occupation of Donbas lasted roughly 700 days. With a single fist, our valiant ancestors came out against the Nazi troops and on 8 September 1943, expelled the brown plague from the Donetsk land, liberating the city of Stalino. We express low bow to the front-line heroes and home front workers who were loyal to the Motherland. Eternal memory to those, who did not return from the battlefield. Glory to the veterans, who remain with us.

The feat of the liberators of Donbas is our pride and inviolable history. He is forever inscribed in the fate of every Donetsk family, became an inspiring example for future generations, and instilled a love for the Motherland. The memory of the heroism of fathers and grandfathers strengthens our spirit, the will to win and serves as a guideline in the fight against Nazi aggression today.

Happy Holidays! I wish you peace, goodness and good health!
