Dear veterans of the Afghan war and soldiers-internationalists!
I congratulate you on the 30th anniversary of withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan!
The Afghan war left a mark in the history of all post-Soviet countries as evidence of military valour, as a symbol of resilience and heroism. Our soldiers, who took part in the settlement of armed conflicts, proved to the whole world that they were worthy of their fathers, who defeated fascism during the Great Patriotic War. On this day we pay tribute and express our deepest gratitude to all soldiers, officers, and those who fulfilled their military duty with honour and courage, we remember those who lost their lives during combat missions.
