FOLLOWING RESULTS OF ALL-RUSSIAN COORDINATING COUNCIL, OMBUDSMEN WILL FORM RECOMMENDATIONS ON INCREASING GUARANTEES OF RIGHTS OF CITIZENS IN SPHERE OF SOCIAL SERVICES – DARIA MOROZOVA

News

I am taking part in the work of the All-Russian Coordinating Council of Commissioners for Human Rights, which is being held these days in St. Petersburg under the chairmanship of Federal Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova. The main theme of the Council is the protection of human rights in the field of social services.

It should be noted that for Donbass the issues of providing social assistance to citizens in need are more relevant than ever. In zones of active hostilities, representatives of socially unprotected categories of the population are subjected to additional risks and threats. The number of people who find themselves in a difficult life situation is increasing. There is a growing need to expand opportunities for the organization of full-fledged social services.

Based on the results of the Coordinating Council meeting with fellow human rights activists, we will form recommendations aimed at improving the guarantees of citizens’ rights in the field of social services. They will be worked out in view of the interest of residents of the DPR as well.
