Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic Daria Morozova said that the parties might need about a month to prepare for the prisoner exchange.

Earlier, during his inauguration speech the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky set the objective of returning prisoners. In response, the DPR Ombudsman said she was waiting for specific proposals from Kiev on this matter.

“The work should be started at the next [meeting of the Humanitarian] Subgroup… If everyone rolls up their sleeves and really want to do this, then about one month will be enough for the preparations and managing legal issues,” Morozova told reporters.

The latest exchange between Kiev and Donbass took place in late December 2017. Parties to the conflict claimed that the exchange process will be continued.
