Ombudsman of the Donetsk Peoples Republic Daria Morozova said that she demands Kiev to return 256 persons as part of a prisoner exchange under the formula “all confirmed for all confirmed.”

On Wednesday, meetings of the Contact Group on peaceful settlement in Donbass and its thematic subgroups took place in Minsk. The next meeting is scheduled for June 19th.

“We are preparing our proposals to be discussed at the next meeting, as well as the Ukrainian side. At the moment, we are requesting 256 people from the Ukrainian side, of whom we have managed to establish 96 persons by now. At the moment, we confirm 15 people to the Ukrainian side,” Morozova told reporters.

Earlier, during his inauguration speech President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky set the task of returning prisoners. The DPR Ombudsman, in response, stated that she was waiting for specific proposals from Kiev in that respect.

The latest prisoner exchange between Kiev and Donbas took place at the end of December 2017. The parties to the conflict stated that the process of releasing prisoners would continue.
