DPR Ombudsman to raise Tsemakh abduction issue at Minsk talks

Comments and statements of the Ombudsman Detention Media News

The issue of abduction of the DPR air defence ex-commander by the Ukrainian special services will be raised at the Minsk talks, said DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova.

“I will raise the issue of the kidnapping of Vladimir Tsemakh at the next meeting in Minsk,” she said.

She called on the international community to pay particular attention to this incident and to exercise pressure on Kiev to prevent the deterioration of the human rights situation. Morozova also demanded that the Ukrainian authorities “stop any actions aimed at the escalation of violence, and strictly observe the norms of international law.”

Earlier it was reported that in June, DPR air defence ex-commander Vladimir Tsemakh was kidnapped by the Ukrainian special services. The abducted person was allegedly secretly taken from Donbass to Kiev, bypassing checkpoints, directly through the line of contact. At the same time, the Ukrainian side claims that Tsemakh was allegedly involved in the downing of the Malaysian Boeing in the Donbass region in July 2014.
