Ombudsman of the Donetsk People’s Republic demanded that Kiev release 82 supporters of DPR.

“Earlier, we requested 88 people. They showed us six release certificates, as some people have served their sentences. Those people had been released and we received copies of their release certificates. Now the number is 82. However, we still haven’t received a response to confirmation requests sent to Kiev. For the time being, we have confirmed 50 persons to the Ukrainian side,” Daria Morozova told Ria Novosti

As for the date of the expected exchange, the Ombudsman said it could be more or less clear after the next round of Minsk negotiations for peaceful settlement in Donbass.

“I can’t say for sure. The Ukrainian side promised to report our requirements to higher authorities. At the following negotiations, we will find out if they are willing to adhere to the guarantees provided earlier in regard to procedural clearance of people,” Morozova said.

According to the DPR Ombudsman, Kiev is delaying the negotiations, manipulating the issue of dismissal of criminal proceedings. She also noted that the work of the Humanitarian Subgroup is underway.
