DPR officials say they receive appeals from residents of areas controlled by Kiev

Since the beginning of the year about 500 residents who live in Donbass areas controlled by Kiev, have appealed to the Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office in the Donetsk People’s Republic, as specified by the Chief Administrator of the Office Andrey Kolomiytsev.

“Since the beginning of 2017, the DPR Ombudsman’s Office received about 500 appeals from citizens living in the territory temporarily controlled by Ukraine. All the questions received by the Office from the territory temporarily controlled by Ukraine are of social and humanitarian nature,” he said.

As explained by the Ombudsman’s Office, the majority of applications dealt with the issues of temporary accommodation, the payment of pensions and social benefits, humanitarian aid, the search for missing persons.
