At the upcoming talks in Minsk, DPR representatives expect the Ukrainian side to confirm its readiness to conduct the exchange of prisoners, according to the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Daria Morozova.
“We have high expectations that on September 4 the Ukrainian side will be able to provide the exhaustive information concerning the progress of procedural clearance of prisoners. I recall that three meetings back Kiev said they needed eight weeks for this process, and time is marching on,” said Morozova.
Earlier it was reported that Donetsk was ready to hand over 50 people to Kiev as part of the exchange of POWs. At the last meeting of the Humanitarian Subgroup in Minsk on August 21, the DPR Ombudsman informed the OSCE Subgroup coordinator about the Republic’s readiness for the process.
