Donetsk to transfer convicts who expressed desire to continue serving their sentence in Ukraine on 13 December – Morozova

On 13 December, the Donetsk People’s Republic will hand over to the Ukrainian side a group of convicts who expressed the desire to continue serving their sentence in the territory of Ukraine. This was mentioned by DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova in an interview to DAN.

“Tomorrow we are going to transfer persons convicted before the conflict who expressed the desire to continue serving their sentence in the territory of Ukraine,” Ombudsman said.

Today the Lugansk People’s Republic transferred 42 pre-conflict detainees.

Earlier it was reported that DPR authorities managed to contact Human Rights Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Liudmila Denisova after a long interruption to discuss the mechanism of transfer of pre-conflict detainees who expressed the desire to continue serving their sentence in the territory of Ukraine.
