Donetsk to demand Ukraine stop persecution of DPR citizens’ relatives at Minsk talks

Comments and statements of the Ombudsman Media News

On 13 February, the Donetsk People’s Republic will raise the issue of safety of relatives of a DPR serviceman at the meeting of the Humanitarian Subgroup in Minsk, according to DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Daria Morozova.

“We organized meetings with representatives of international organizations – UN, OSCE and the ICRC. We asked them to document this fact in order to guarantee safety for parents of the DPR serviceman. At the next meeting in Minsk, we will raise this issue. This is unacceptable, especially since this is not an isolated incident,” said Ms Morozova.

Earlier today, it was reported that elderly parents of a DPR serviceman Eduard Klypa were under pressure by Security Service of Ukraine in Mariupol.
