Nullifying the Minsk agreements signed and approved by the UN Security Council resolution, Ukraine is increasing its armed aggression in Donbass. The security situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic is getting worse every day. Ukraine purposefully hits civilian infrastructure and the residential sector, grossly violating the rules of general protection granted to the civilian population under the provisions of the Fourth Geneva Convention. We are recording damages to residential buildings, social facilities and infrastructure, attempts of terrorist attacks within the city.
Over the past 24 hours alone, 54 violations of the indefinite ceasefire regime by Ukraine have been recorded. This morning, a civilian was killed as a result of the shelling of the mine settlement named after Chelyuskintsev in the Petrovsky district. In the Kievsky district near the railway station, an attempt to install an explosive device was made, during which a Ukrainian saboteur blew himself up. At night, two schools No. 105 and No. 56 were damaged by the fire of the AFU in these areas. In the southern direction, one defender of the Republic fighting back was killed and the other three were injured.
Earlier, on February 18, a power transformer in the Yasinovatsky district and a transformer substation in Gorlovka were destroyed by targeted fire. On February 19, Ukrainian combatants attacked the Vasilyevsky pumping station.
Today it is extremely unsafe not only at front-line settlements. The sounds of war are heard more and more clearly in the rear.
All of the above testifies to Ukraine’s decision to abandon the peaceful model of settlement of the conflict in Donbass. Moreover, we are talking about the targeted elimination of the civilian population. We demand a proper response to events in the region. I emphasize that by denying the genocide in Donbass, the international community encourages war crimes of the AFU.
