Greeting from Daria Morozova on City Day

Dear Donetsk citizens, I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the City Day!

On this Day the capital of the Donetsk People’s Republic marks its 150th anniversary. During this period of time, this small workers’ settlement developed to be an agglomeration with more than a million residents. Donetsk is not only famous for its mines and factories, but also for its great potential in science, culture, sport and other fields.

However, our main “asset” is people, who after many years of joint creative activity shaped a united multinational community based on traditional cultural values and common historical memory. Diligence and justice, persistence and dedication to principles have got even stronger in the conditions of armed conflict in the territory of Donbass.

Despite the difficulties of the military-political confrontation and the socio-economic blockade, the city-hero Donetsk was strong enough to survive and develop. Currently, the housing stock and civil infrastructure are actively developing, industrial enterprises are resuming operation, new ties are being established, including as part of the integration program with the Russian Federation.

I wish you good health, peace and well-being, happiness and prosperity to you, Dear Donetsk citizens. May every day the unity, mutual support and hard work for the benefit of the Motherland bring you victories and achievements, success and accomplishments, as now we are creating the future history of our homeland, which is, no doubt, much longer than its past.
