On October 30, the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repressions is observed. On this day, we honor the memory of people whose lives were broken due to political reasons. There are a lot of innocent victims who have suffered for following their views and values.
Unfortunately, the government of Ukraine does not learn the lessons of history. There are more and more cases of illegal detention of citizens by the Security Service of Ukraine, about torture, about secret prisons. And we hear more and more words of hatred towards Donbass people, who just want to live in peace and follow their beliefs. Many residents of Ukraine are also being persecuted for disagreeing with the official policy of the Kiev authorities.
Our main task is to never forget the lessons of the past, which we got at such a bitter price. We must teach the future generation to value life, secure peace in our land and always be humane.
