Today, on March 6, the Human Rights Ombudsman in the DPR Daria Morozova visited the liberated from the AFU settlement of Talakovka, which is close to Mariupol. In the course of the work trip, the Ombudsman had conversations with local citizens and figured out current needs of the population and the main humanitarian problems.

Of particular interest for the Ombudsman were the reports from local people about the atrocities perpetrated by the Nazis and their accomplices. In particular, citizens said that those who disagreed with the Kiev regime were sent to the infamous SBU prison located near the Mariupol airport. It should be recalled that it was there that illegal methods of interrogation, torture, and murder of supporters of the Republic were regularly used. In the future, all eyewitness accounts will be of help for future criminal cases.

The Ombudsman will continue to visit the liberated territories in order to monitor the situation with the rights of citizens and assist in improving the social and humanitarian situation on the ground.
