DARIA MOROZOVA SPOKE AT FORUM DEDICATED TO IMPLEMENTATION OF WOMEN’S RIGHTS IN CONDITIONS OF CHALLANGES OF XXI CENTURY

DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova is taking part in the Interregional Forum “Women as a guarantee of stability, security, creation, revival and peace: best practices, positive actions, new ideas.” The event is held on November 1-2 in the capital of the Russian Federation. Ombudsman of the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova, human rights activists from various subjects of the Russian Federation, political and state figures, and experts take part in it.

During the first day of the Forum, Daria Morozova made a presentation on the implementation of women’s rights in Donbass. The DPR Ombudsman spoke about the challenges our compatriots faced in wartime, their peacekeeping role and contribution to the development of a civil society.

Daria Morozova emphasized that in the future, it is the experience of the women of Donbass, gained during the war years, that will play a fundamental role in creating and strengthening the legal basis of society not only in the liberated territories of the DPR, but also in other newly annexed regions of the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that within the framework of the Interregional Forum, it is planned to sum up and evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the National Action Strategy for Women 2017-2022 years.

In turn, Daria Morozova expressed her intention to join the work of the Eurasian Women’s Forum. This is the largest international platform that brings together women leaders to discuss the role of women in the modern world and develop common approaches to solving global problems. It should be reminded that the Eurasian Women’s Forum has been held in Russia on a regular basis since 2015. The initiative of creation belongs to the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.
