Daria Morozova holds a meeting with Fiona Frazer

Today, July 12, the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic Daria Morozova together with the forensic expert and the representative of the Ministry of Defense, held a working meeting with the Chairman of the UN Monitoring Mission for Human Rights in Ukraine Fiona Fraser.

Issues of missing persons, of people who died as a result of torture by Ukrainian servicemen, as well as exchange of POWs were discussed in the meeting. The emphasis was made on the need for cooperation and joint work with the Ukrainian side in exchanging a DNA bank for the identification of bodies. The Chairman of the UN Monitoring Mission was provided with documents proving the use of illegal methods of interrogation by representatives of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. The destructive stance of Kiev plenipotentiary representatives in the humanitarian subgroup was also discussed. Once again our side demonstrated openness in the exchange process.
