Daria Morozova discusses humanitarian issues with ICRC

On 17 May, the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman held a working meeting with the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation in Ukraine, Florence Gillette.

At the meeting, they discussed humanitarian issues, such as the situation of detainees and negotiations in Minsk. The discussion was focused on the mechanism of searching for missing persons proposed by the International Committee of the Red Cross. Daria Morozova stressed the inadmissibility of politicization of the search for missing persons. All participants of the meeting agreed that the mechanism should have a purely humanitarian nature.

In conclusion, the Human Rights Ombudsman expressed gratitude to ICRC representatives for the invaluable support of citizens affected as a result of the armed conflict. The Head of the delegation thanked Daria Morozova for openness and fruitful cooperation.
