The DPR Ombudsman assisted in the return home of 8-year-old Ilya M., who was temporarily evacuated from the Donetsk People’s Republic to the Russian Federation due to hostilities. In May of this year, the boy’s family requested the assistance of Daria Morozova in resolving this issue.
In turn, in order to prevent violation of parental rights, the Ombudsman of the Republic immediately took appropriate response measures. As a result of joint work with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Tatyana Moskalkova, and the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Kursk Region, Vladimir Firsov, the family was reunited. The child is surrounded by care and love.
Expressing deep gratitude for the assistance, the parents sent a letter of thanks to the Human Rights Ombudsman in the DPR. And Ilya prepared a drawing for the DPR Ombudsman, in which he showed his positive emotions and joy from the long-awaited meeting with mom and dad.
