A man, his father and 15-16 civilians were captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They had been kept in iron boxes, in the school No. 14 (Ilovaisk). The captives were constantly subjected to beatings; the man sustained multiple jaw fractures. The captives were forced to dig trenches. No medical services were provided for them, so two captives bled to death. On 28.08.2014 the captives were released by the DPR servicemen. They were given the necessary medical assistance.
