Condolences on anniversary of passing of First DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko

Exactly one year ago the first Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Hero of DPR Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko was killed. To me, he was not only a leader but also the closest comrade, a mentor and a friend. The sadness of this irreparable loss still hurts, and the only thing that gives courage and determination to continue our common endeavour is the deep belief in the mission and the path chosen by Donbass people, for which Alexander Vladimirovich fought until the last moment of his life.

I’m confident that justice will prevail and those responsible for the death of first Head of the Republic receive a punishment they deserve. I believe that we are able to fulfil the dream of Alexander Vladimirovich about a peaceful and prosperous Donbass through our joint efforts, closely adhering to the ideals of freedom, conscience, justice and equality. I have no doubt that all citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic will always be grateful and remember the unprecedented courage, honour and dignity of the faithful son of our Motherland.

We have no moral or historical right to fail in implementing the plans and endeavours of Alexander Vladimirovich. I am sure that every citizen of the Donetsk People’s Republic would support this statement. It is our sacred duty to fulfil all that the First DPR Head didn’t manage to do.

In loving memory of Alexander Vladimirovich. I express my kind words of support to his family and loved ones!
