Since the start of the armed conflict in Donbass, the DPR Ombudsman’s Office provided 260 tons of humanitarian aid, including goods, to temporary accommodation centers during the. This was announced today in the DAN by the DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova.

“We provided humanitarian assistance to IDPs. In total, we handed over 260 tons of food and hygiene kits in cooperation with international organizations”, – Morozova said.

According to the Ombudsman, the staffs of the Office regularly improve living conditions at the Temporary Accommodation Centres, they do repairs, and provide psychological support.

“I’ve been living in Donetsk since June 2014. We addressed the Ombudsman’s Office and I was given a place at one of the Temporary Accommodation Centres. I am very grateful to everyone for their help”, – said Elena Nesterenko, an IDP from Zaporozhye region, who also took part in the press conference.

Earlier today it was reported that 7994 people were registered as internally displaced persons, including 2106 children under the age of 18, during the fighting in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
